In 2012, Porsche unveiled its latest generation of the 911, the “991”, to widespread acclaim. Yet again, Porsche had succeeded in making the 911 even better than before. What people didn’t know back then was the the 991 would be the last of the non-turbocharged series 911 cars to be produced (excluding, of course, the track-ready GT series). And, in 2013, the Cabriolet was released, adding an open-top dimension of enjoyment to the already incredible 911.
This particular 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet is a wonderful example of the classic open-top Porsche 911. Stunning in its color combination of Dark Blue Metallic over Luxor Beige interior with a Black top, it has an air of understated elegance, perfect for a night on the town, but still capable of ripping up a back country road with ease. Its normally-aspirated 3.8 liter flat 6 engine, producing 400 hp, is capable of rocketing this Cabriolet to 60 mph in four seconds, making a snarling noise along the way. The PDK dual-clutch automated manual transmission cracks off lightning-fast shifts, as well as providing an extremely smooth automatic mode when desired, truly the best of both worlds. The powered fabric top lowers in seconds, exposing the beautiful beige leather interior.
The consignor of this 911, only the second owner of the car, just had a full service done at a Porsche dealership, including installing a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. In fact, all servicing on the vehicle has been done at Porsche dealerships during his ownership, and the receipts are available. He purchased the vehicle as a Porsche Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle in 2016, and a Certificate of Authenticity verifies the extensive list of options, such as the Sport Chrono package, Sport Exhaust system, 20” Carrera Classic wheels, the Premium package, and many others.
